Ann Witheridge is an oil painter specializing in portraits, still lifes, and landscapes. She was born in Jordan in 1973, and has lived in and travelled throughout Europe, South America, Africa and South East Asia. She studied History of Art and Modern Languages at Christ's College, Cambridge University.
In 1998 Ann moved to Italy to devote herself full time to oil painting. She studied in Venice for a year before moving to Florence to join the growing number of atelier students working and living there. She spent 3 years in Florence learning classical drawing and naturalistic oil techniques. She completed her studies in Florence by producing a large body of figure paintings, landscapes, and still lifes.
Ann's work has been shown throughout England and Italy. Most recently she participated in the international drawing show, 'Still Classical', which travelled through numerous cities including New York and Rome.
